The 20th Annual International Conference of the Metabolomics Society will be held on June 16-20, 2024 in Osaka, Japan, at the ATC Hall.  As the official annual meeting of the Metabolomics Society, and the largest metabolomics meeting worldwide, the conference will cover the major scientific themes of Technology Advances; Computational Metabolomics, Statistics, and Bioinformatics; Metabolomics in Health and Disease; and Metabolomics of Food, Plants, Environment and Microbes. Recently, a newly published study in Gut titled "Landscape of the gut mycobiome dynamics during pregnancy and its relationship with host metabolism and pregnancy health" comprehensively depicted the factors influencing the composition and structure of gut fungi and their dynamic changes during pregnancy based on a large-scale cohort of pregnant women (4800 participants). This study integrated dietary surveys, clinical examinations, and data from the mycobiome, bacteriome, and metabolome. Additionally, it analyzed the associations and potential mechanisms between gut fungi, host metabolism, and pregnancy health, providing important insights into the impact of gut microorganisms on healthy pregnancy from the perspective of gut fungi.
